We have a Frequently Answered Questions and also an Electrotap Discussion Forum. If you have a question about some aspect of our products please look for information or help in these resources before contacting us directly.

When contacting us about a problem it is important to provide as many details as possible. Without this information we will not be able to provide a meaningful answer. For example, the following details should always be provided for problems with software:

What Operating System and version (e.g. Windows XP SP2, or MacOS 10.5.4)
What version of the software (e.g. Tap.Tools 2.3.1 or 3.0 beta 8)
What version of other software you are using (e.g. Max 5.0.5, Pro-Tools 7.0, etc.)
What hardware you are using (e.g. A MacBook Pro with 2GB of RAM or a G4 PPC mini with 512MB of RAM)
Most important: a clear set of instructions or steps for reliably reproducing the issue.

About Us

Electrotap was created in 2004 with a mission to design, develop, and distribute new tools for the performance and composition of innovative music and art.

We have produced time-tested and road-tested solutions for building interactive solutions using sensor technologies, and one of the most popular sets of extensions for Cycling ‘74’s Max/MSP environment. Recording Magazine has referred to us as “Scary Geniuses” for our design of the wild Hipno audio plug-ins. We continue to innovate in the spirit of collaboration and academic research, and to provide a potential outlet for creative work that is not available elsewhere.
